I am a Parish Council Member and Layreader
at St. Matthias Anglican Church, just down the street from
St. John's United. I was impressed with your Phase 2 Report. At St.
Matthias, we are experiencing the same problems and dilemmas that
you are. We too have many difficult and important decisions to make.
At present, we have a committee consisting of members from four Anglican churches
in peninsular Halifax: St. Matthias, St. Phillip's. St. Margarets-of-Scotland, and St. Mark's. We have
been in meetings and done surverys for five years now, without a decision as of yet. When you are dealing
with four separate congregations, most of which are very senior in age and committed to their particular
parish, it makes the decision even more difficult.
I was particularly intrigued by your concept of a new
complex on the existing site. I must commend the Committee on their foresight and courage to formulate
such a plan.

Greetings! I belong to Trinity United Church
in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island and have been asked to prepare
the Prayers of the People for the service this Sunday. I was quite
stymied and unsure of how to write such prayers. So I "surfed" the
net and ended up at your website. Fabulous tips, suggestions and explanations!!!
Well done. I wish we weren't clear across the country from each other
or I would suggest you folks hold a couple of teaching sessions for
us. Thank you for your obvious labour of love.

This site looks great. I hadn't
looked at it for a while so it was great to take some time to explore
the whole thing. Thanks for keeping a church member informed about
all the things that are happening and have happened at St. John's.
I didn't know we had a Facebook Group.
